The sand between your toes. Sky and beach as far as your eyes can see. Wonderful food made with love. Deeply comfortable beds in beautifully thought out bedrooms. Daily yoga and wellness classes.

I like the quirkiness of the rooms , the deep big bath , the tea box was very cute plus there was cafetiere coffee ☕️. The bed was super comfy . The rooms had a very warm homely feel .

The location is perfect as it is close to the station but also in the heart of the city. The hotel was clean and the interior design feels authentic but not old fashionned at all. It's very cute inside. Plus, the staff was very helpful and dedicated. All good

We loved the house which was so beautiful. The hosts couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was spacious, warm and the only sounds we heard were the birds in the morning. Breakfasts were delicious and on our day trips we ordered sandwiches with complimentary flasks of tea, coffee and biscuits.

Great town atmosphere with a wonderful heritage center . The volunteers were most informative and friendly.
I also was most impressed with the well set up nature reserve. A good cafe and visitor center and excellent bird hides.

This is an amazing little B&B with fantastic hosts where nothing is to much trouble. The breakfast was first rate, absolutely fantastic. Great room, lovely facilities, spotlessly clean and the shower was hot and nice and big. I do not have anything but praise for the place and would highly recommend.

A walk around the town of Rye is a must to see all the old buildings and shops.
There are quite a number of restaurants in Rye to choose from. Some of the 'owners' or managers need a course in customer service....Called into one to check his menu and when we said we were just looking he was not so helpful after we said we are just looking for a place for tonight....
However, we stopped into a small cafe for lunch and had great potato soup, which was excellent on a cold day.

A perfect weekend spot.
A perfect weekend spot. There’s lots to see, but it’s manageable in a weekend, with plenty of time built in to enjoy the culinary delights on offer - there are some very good restaurants and cafes. Rye is very hilly and there are lots of flint, cobbled streets, so those with reduced and/or limited mobility may find it challenging to get around. Many of the buildings are listed and so not always the most accessible - don’t let this put you off, but just be aware.

Rye is built on a hill so naturally has steep paths and many steps. However the local council try their best to discourage more elderly visitors by having closed most public toilets and arranging car parking so that visitors staying overnight have to be up early in the morning to get to the car parks at the bottom of the hill by 8.00am or risk a substantial fine. In view of this we would avoid staying overnight in the town in future

We go to Rye a couple of times a year, we either stay at the Mermaid Inn, if they have an offer on. Or The Kings Head. We really like the Kings Head as it is really good value for money & staff are always most polite & friendly. We particularly like Rye for its Character & charm. It is always bustling.
A place for a perfect little break.
Wonderfully attentive staff, luxury hotel level breakfast. Our room (we switched as we needed a twin room and this was done super swiftly and politely) was very spacious, clean with brand new bathroom and furnishings. Great selection of teas and coffees in the room. Very comfortable beds. Magnolia House is a very short walk into town and very convenient, and offers free parking- which was a big bonus for us. Exquisite breakfast. Lovely manager/owner. Great choice for Rye. We only stayed for one night but would stay longer next time.
The Hope Anchor is a very charming Hotel in a historic building. Our room had a great size and was very well-equipped. The room was so quiet we felt like we were the only guests in Rye. The breakfast had a wide selection and was good. Due to the historic location, parking at the site is not possible but the car park in the town centre is very affordable.
Best check in receptionist I have ever experienced. She went the extra mile to explain how to find things in Rye, and went through tourist attractions and restaurant options. Great location for Rye, with free parking. Very easy walk to the historic heart of Rye from the hotel. Room well appointed. Servicing of the room very good.
Warm, friendly, clean and comfortable.
Food- breakfast lovely varied menu. Bakery for sit in or take out option very good.
Food -Excellent.
Staff- Friendly, helpful and made the stay perfect for our Christmas break. Will be recommending the Whitehouse Hotel, Rye to friends and family.
I liked the history of the Jeakes House and the way the decor was sympathetic to its history. Enjoyed the rooms and the beamed ceilings. The breakfasts were excellent, best I've had when staying in a hotel. Location was perfect, close to restaurants, shops etc. Very picturesque location.
The Old Laundry was the perfect place to stay on our visit to beautiful Rye. Just a minute from the town centre, it was comfortable and impeccably clean. The welcome basket was very welcome. Everything worked, and we loved the fish tank. Our host, Sue, couldn't have been more welcoming.
The hotel was in a superb location, ideal for visitors to Rye. The hotel was a bit quirky and quaint but had great facilities and room. Staff were great, friendly, helpful and welcoming. They even arranged an early breakfast because we had an early train to catch.
Very good food, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Historic Grade 2 Listed Property with all the character in a great location and within easy walking distance to the historic Rye town centre. Very attractive period properties adjacent to the hotel.
Great location in the centre of Rye. Lovely hotel. Friendly staff and their own car park. Our room had a lovely terrace overlooking the hills and sea - great surprise. And most importantly, a really good breakfast!
Breakfast was fantastic and location is great (bearing in mind Rye is pretty small).
Staff are fantastic, probably the best of the hotel. Rye is a small town so no problems at all with noises at night.
Breakfast was excellent, food was well cooked and the staff were attentive.
Room was exactly as described and very comfortable. Rye has plenty to see, too so the location is ideal.
Very well located hotel with parking just a short walk into the town centre. The Rye Harbour Nature Reserve is about a mile away.
Comfortable room with river view, good space.
Excellent location to visit Rye, lovely breakfast, most staff were pleasant. Room 26 is far from the front, across open courtyards, but large, comfortable and clean.
Beautiful round oast hotel just 1 mile from centre of Rye - we had round room with round bed which was a first for us - lovely staff and fabulous breakfast
