Perfect atmosphere on a beautiful island with great view from the room. location is very nice and walking distance to the perfect beaches and lovely village. Room was big enough for us (+3 kids), crew was helpful and picked us up from the port and back to the ferry when needed. We had a great time and will be back for sure.

Fabulous room with a separate bedroom and kitchenette/ lounge area. Large patio with areas of shade whatever the time of day. Fantastic breakfast which could have kept us going for food all day! We also ate most nights in the owners taverna which had delicious home cooked food and excellent service for a very reasonable price. A choice of beaches within walking distance. No sun loungers on the beaches which is nice but worth buying a sun umbrella at the village supermarket to carry to the beach with you.

WOW what an amazing place to stay! It is located on a hill in a very quiet and scenic spot. We kindly got upgraded to stay in a gorgeous 2-bedroom villa which was modern, spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We loved our infinity pool and the views out to the ocean and other islands were absolutely stunning. The hosts were so lovely - at check-in they made sure we had everything we needed and gave us so many home-cooked Grecian treats and plenty of bottled water - it was so kind! We cannot recommend this place enough - such a peaceful and beautiful home to stay at!

Fly to Athens (ATH), Greece, then take a domestic flight to Naxos (JNX), approximately 45 minutes. From Naxos, take a ferry to Koufonisia, around 3 hours. Alternatively, direct ferries from Athens (Piraeus port) to Koufonisia take about 7 hours.
The most convenient airport for Koufonisia is Naxos Island National Airport, due to its proximity (approximately 40km) and frequent domestic flights. For international travellers, Athens International Airport is best, with onward domestic connections.
Koufonisia, Greece, lacks public transport. However, its small size makes it easily navigable on foot or by bicycle. Bike rentals are readily available for visitors. For longer distances, water taxis operate between the islands. Driving isn't recommended due to the limited road network. Always verify the operating hours of local services.
Chora, the main village in Koufonisia, is the best area to stay. It offers convenient access to stunning beaches, local eateries, and shops. The area is popular for its traditional Greek charm and picturesque views.

It’s a beautiful island with fantastic beaches. Best time to visit would be September or June if you want a quieter holiday. The coast is flat so you can cycle quite a bit. There are regular boats to the beaches - an all day ticket costed 2.50€.

Hop on hop off to kato koufonisia and other beaches of the islands for 10 euro per day.
Friendly people all around. Fresh fish of top quality and selection
We rented a scooter that has proven to be a necessity.
There are also electrical assisted bikes.
Food prices at taverns in general are acceptable.
We could gladly have stayed more than 3 days.

I thought it would be quieter but it appears that Koufonisia has become more popular. We had to go to Kato Koufonisia almost everyday of our stay just to have a quiet and relaxing beach time. The hike was easy, a bit more tiring from the heat but it's worth it.

Lovely island for people who like walking, beaches and a relaxed pace of life without planning much. The island gets busy in mid-July to end of August so I wouldn't choose to go then. I think 3-5 days are best, many people also visit on a day trip.

Very small island. You can walk it.
Very small island. You can walk it. Furthest beach is 1 hour and a half scenic walk along the coast passing many other beaches. The port is the only town on the island. It has a nice ‘chora’ with surprisingly many restaurants and shops. Town is very clean with beautifully paved roads. Very much an upmarket feel to it, but no upmarket attitude, which is a plus. Quiet place. Not for party animals.
Paradise!! At first we wondered if we were a bit out of town but no! It is the perfect location of peace and quiet with a 5 minute walk to the main strip, harbour and beach. Honestly, the place, the island and this accommodation have stolen our hearts! Supermarket is 5 mins walk away and the bakery so having our own fresh breakfast on the balcony every morning was amazing. They are very efficient with cleaning room. Our room was spacious, spotless and so lovely. Can’t recommend enough!!
Beautifuly landscaped and spotlessly clean, from the moment we arrived the welcome from the family/staff that run this hotel was exceptional. Our room was appointed well, comfy bed, nice balcony, clean modern bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice and quality food. Located 50m or less from plenty of tavernas and supermarkets and less distance from town beach and taxi boat to some of the best beaches we have ever encountered.
Lovely quiet location up the hill overlooking the smaller harbour on the island. The hosts met us at the docks off our ferry to drive us to the accommodation and show us around. They also gave us excellent food and activity recommendations on the island. About a 10 minute walk into town but pretty views along the way and a nice way to digest after a big dinner! Would definitely recommend it and would happily stay there again
The host (Mr Nektarios) was amazing, very helpful on everything, polite and warm with us. No need to mention that Koufonisia is a paradise on earth - a must visit! The place has a good location, i’d prefer a room with balcony since we’ve stayed at Lida in the ground floor, but it was very clean, spacious with a minimalist cute decoration. Definitely going back to this one next year!!!
We enjoyed our stay at Paradise Hotel a lot. The location is perfect, a 5 minute walk to the main area with all restaurants and perfectly located for visiting the beaches in the east of the island. The staff who even picked us up at the port was very friendly and always helpful. Can definitely recommend staying here! Also big plus: best sea view from the private balconies.
the location of our room was in the center of Koufonisia, less than 5' walk to the closest supermarket. The room was clean but the cleaning lady came twice in a five days stay. We had a room with a nice view and a balcony. The owners were kind enough to welcome us in the port and take us to our rooms, as well as take us to the port on the day of our departure.
So clean, beautiful rooms with lots of space to eat, lounge, lie out. The view is incredible and the breakfast was delicious!
The room has a safe large enough for a laptop, and Giorgio’s kindly drove us to and from ferry port. During stay, we rented e-bikes to easily tour around island.
To wake up to that view and the beautiful room every day was amazing.
Ioanna and Thanasis were wonderful hosts! Breakfast was home made and is delivered whenever you want. Absolutely delicious. The hotel is beautifully decorated in the traditional Cycladic style and the location is perfect, halfway between the port/beach and the town. I couldn't recommend the property or the owners any more!!!! Simply fantastic!!!
The accommodation was fantastic. Spacious rooms with a great view and regular cleaning. Short walk to the best beaches on the island. Slightly longer - but very pleasant - walk to the town. The daily cooked breakfast was tasty and the staff were very flexible on timings. Free transfers to the port were great.
Great spacious room with great shower and all facilities (kitchenette, kitchenware etc) - we really enjoyed the balcony too, it was great to have a space to sit comfortably! Both the owner Mosha and her sister Stella were fantastic, and happy to share information about their little paradise island!
The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the location is fantastic, and the staff were all super kind and helpful. We loved the decor in our room--it was casual but really nicely done. The beach was right nearby and it was super easy to grab towels, chairs, umbrella and find a nice spot by the water.
The location was excellent, inside the center of Koufonisia. We discovered though that the location doesn't matter that much because Koufonisia is an extremely small island. The room had a nice balcony. The beds were ok. Mrs Eirini (the host's mother) was very friendly.
Excellent design apartments by the sea with a great view. The owners picked us up from the port and they were very nice and welcoming. A great option for a great island like Koufonisia. Very clean very good amenities like nespresso coffee and apivita toiletries.
Excellent clean facilities, very friendly stuff and the host Tasos was really nice! The location is fantastic as well, very close pretty much to both 'Chora' (city center) and the beaches. Definitely recommended, would stay again!
-Amazing location with great view.
-Very clean and cozy room.
-Very friendly and helpful host.
-Magical beaches.
-Definitely good value for money.
In general I can recommend it 100% and would happily visit it again.
Hotel Posidonion was a lovely experience! Our room was very clean, with a breathtaking view! We highly recommend it and we can’t wait to stay again at this lovely place!
Close to beaches and the center of the town, cute and cozy space. The host was lovely and very accommodating, even letting us store our bags before our ferry departure.
