Welcoming host and beautifully appointed room with luxurious bathroom

Papamoa is probably best known for its white sand beach, which stretches for several kilometres. It is very accessible, as there are walkways between houses at frequent intervals allowing pedestrian acces from the two streets running parallel to the beach. Papamoa has a modern mall and several shopping centres, offering a variety of dining experiences and convenience foods. A highway system allows access to Mt Maunganui and Tauranga, about a half hour's drive away. The only downside for me is the traffic navigation - the highway system is very busy and clogs up quickly during peak traffic times, and some of the surrounding roads have some pretty unfriendly roundabouts with speed humps and traffic lights added, sensory overload for a driver unfamiliar with the area.

Papamoa is a very laid back and peaceful place to visit. Everything you need is right on the doorstep and really great to visit a beach that isn't crowded. Everyone you meet while walking along the beach are friendly (including the dogs) and it's a lovely place to relax and be at one with nature.

We had a lovely stay over looking the beach. Laundry facilities are always a bonus - $2 coins needed. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Close to cafes, takeaways and shopping. Lovely coffee cart nearby.

Papamoa is ideally situated close to Mt Maunganui yet far away enough to retain a sense of peace. It's also within an hour's drive of beautiful Ohope Beach &, to the north, Waihi Beach, both of which are well worth visiting (especially Ohope Beach & Whaktane).

Papamoa is a lovely beach resort town.
Papamoa is a lovely beach resort town. There's plenty of beach space with a surf club to patrol the beach. There are plenty of food outlets to cater for all needs. The walkways are a great asset to encourage people outdoors for their chosen exercise routine.
this Bach has a dream location, situated on the top of the dunes. amazing views from both the lounge/kitchen down stairs and the upstairs rooms. easy access to the beach.
The Bach is roomy with bedrooms and beds to suit a family or a group.
It was just what we needed.
Close to Bayfair and Papmoa centre with easy access to Mount Maunganui, would make a great base for a beachfront holiday.
For its size and location it is good value.
Very clean motel. Shops right next door, beach access across the road. Bummer weather was wet to try the pool, playground & activities room. Would definitely recommend. I know its only small but my fav was the table it had like a foot massager at the bottom 😅great after a long day shopping, the shower pressure was amazing. Staff was very welcoming. Me & my children hope to stay there again in the summer season.
We got a text in advance asking us what we would like for breakfast, and a very good selection was provided. The location turned out to be really good (not knowing the area) as it was very handy to a cafe, a grocery store and several restaurants, as wll as being just a block from the beach.
Very friendly and hospitable host. New property and furniture. Very comfortable for a relaxing 1 night couple stay. We loved the bath and the quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to the beautiful Papamoa beach. And we had a beautiful dinner at The Goodhome gastropub, only 4 min drive.
This was my 2nd stay here.
Love it.
So close to the beach 4 me & my dogs.
Pet friendly, which is why I chose it in the 1st place.
And close to fashion island/ papamoa plaza.
Check in easy with lock box.
Staff are quick to respond to any questions.
Gorgeous and perfectly clean apartment with a beautiful garden out back. Perfectly situated to walk to Papamoa Beach. Quiet neighborhood. Trina has really thought the place out well. All the amenities are thoughtful and the bathroom is gorgeous.
Loved the location - quiet, handy to the supermarket, the beach, Papamoa centre (with some nice restaurants).
The room is very clean, fairly new, modern with comfortable bed and very nice bathroom.
The host is lovely and accommodating.
Separated part of nice house was good for our two couples. Close to beach. Outdoor area was great for wine and cheese! Friendly host allowed us to secure our cycles in garage, Inexpensive when we split the costs over two parties.
Location, staying in Papamoa due to AIMs games. Easy walk to beach, supermarket and cafe close by.
Warm comfortable bedroom, excellent bathroom and small but well appointed kitchenette did the job for light meals and snacks.
Can't fault the location - it was right on the beach! Also close to shops, cafes & restaurants. Comfy beds, plenty of bathrooms and great kitchen, was great for our family of five!
Close to the shops and beach. Was pretty quiet for a busy road. Liked that It had 3 toilets. The room was nice and clean. Good spot for a very good price. Will come again.
The house and gardens were lovely. Bed was comfortable and hosts were friendly and offered great suggestions for beach, restaurants and walk at “the mound”.
