I wasn’t impressed by the hotel at all, its was nothing like the pictures, I can honestly compare it to a nursing home, the decor was awful, the floor board creeks, when I was trying to get comfortable in bed it sounded like the person upstairs was going to fall through my roof, over all cleanliness was awful, when I arrived in my room I found a pubic hair in the bath, and scum around the bath, I had to ask reception to clean the bathroom, the car park situation is diabolical, there’s 4 parking spaces on the main road, alternative car park was down the hill, not good when you suffer from nerve damage. On the first night the fire alarm went off as well as someone trying to get into the room. breakfast was undercooked and not for on for long, it stopped at 9am which meant you couldn’t have a lay in… The staff on the other hand are really helpful so friendly and smiling. It’s definitely not worth the money I spent I could have paid less and gone abroad, and had a better hotel. Which is a shame because st Ives is beautifulAAnonymous - 6.0Scored 6.0

We had a 'Bay View' room, but the window looking over the Bay was 'sprung', so there was just condensation and we couldn't see anything. Frankly this was very disappointing as we had paid for a Bay View room but didn't get a proper view. I wish I had pointed this out when we checked out as I feel we should have had some money back as a result. Also, there were no proper lights in the room, so we couldn't read in bed. Also, why do English hotels insist on double quilts? The property I booked was outside the town of St Ives in a place called Consol. However, was advertised as being in St Ives. There was builders rubble in the parking space. I was told that my 'private entrace' was through the french windows of the property and I would not, as a single traveller, have felt secure in such a situation. What a picturesque town with outstanding natural beauty and...
What a picturesque town with outstanding natural beauty and so much to see in the way of art and ceramics. It does get very crowded during holiday times so I would recommend going out of season. Highlights include the Tate St Ives, the Barbara Hepworth Studio, the various galleries and the beaches. The walking could be difficult for anyone with limited mobility but there are ways around that in terms of getting transport. A really stunning spot. Plenty of excellent places to eat from beach cafes to independent bakeries and coffee shops to fish restaurants. We stayed at the end of the Easter holidays. Fabulous town that can get very busy. Everywhere is a short walk and what incredible beaches and sea views. Would recommend the surf school on Porthmeor beach. Friendly Bunch.AAnonymous

Leigh and Tracey were welcoming and friendly. Made accommodations for van parking. Thoughtful additions like bottles of water provided alongside usual coffee, tea and biscuits. Room 2 has a stunning view of the sea with huge bay windows. That room includes a large wardrobe, dressing table and armchairs by the windows and a very comfy bed.

It is beautiful! And the other paths looked equally charming. We had an ideal view of St. Ives from our room and we enjoyed exploring town in person by just taking the path down. Very simple! Dinner at the restaurant had very good flavor and service. Reception was also very kind and attentive.

It has a parking space which are not available for many properties in Cornwall. It is on a bus route to St Ives and the ‘coaster’ bus covers the local coast in a circular route inclusive of Lands End land mark, it’s cheap to travel by bus.
