This was one of our most awaited stays of the trip, and it didn't disappoint. Each of the rooms are unique with features like a patio or an outdoor shower. The property itself is so beautiful. Nice yoga classes. Nice restaurant. And we had a view of the volcano from our room, and that never got old :)

Everyone is so friendly. It's a very safe area.
Everyone is so friendly. It's a very safe area. Good restaurants and bars. The sea is calm and lovely to swim in. I had a great time in Amed. Rimba and Galanga were my favourite places to eat. There is live music each evening in various bars. Taxi scooters are a cheap and easy way to get to places, and readily available.
The negative thing about Amed is the litter on the beach.

To me, Amed is the best beach spot of Bali.
To me, Amed is the best beach spot of Bali. Quiet, beautiful snorkeling, amazing nature and rice fields but still a simple laid back vibe. Lots of simple affordable warungs but also new coffee places (that serve meals throughout the day) with Scandinavian look
For snorkeling, we liked Jemeluk best, since it has beautiful corals and fish and a quiet sea.
Riding a scooter is easy and the roads are good.

Amed is a bit no frills in a way.
Amed is a bit no frills in a way. It's a beautiful spot for sure but the beauty is more in the relaxed feel of it and the lack of what makes some of the other places a bit plastic and un-Bali. It's a bit of a diver/backpacker scene and most of the places to eat are smaller-medium warungs, but there is plenty of variety. We are a couple in our 50s (non diving/snorkelling) and we just loved the relaxed calm of it all and the great food.
If you are a snorkeller or diver you'd be in your element here.
It was quiet when we were there ( April - Aussie school hols ) and is probably still quiet generally post covid.
It's cheap too. Maybe not Vietnam cheap for food etc, but your $$ goes a long way.
There's enough to keep you busy around the one beach but it's easy enough to get to other spots via grab. I reckon Jemeluk is the best spot though. It has a greater selection of warungs and little stores.
If you prefer the pristine golden sand experience, Amed may not be your best option but its charm goes very deep.

Beautiful snorkelling and diving.
Beautiful snorkelling and diving. Great small village with good family run Warungs, adequate shops and a decent road that’s quiet by Bali standards. Very friendly locals who arent too pushy like they are in the South.

Brilliant place to learn to dive (61 dive shops), highly recommended Ocean Dive League very experienced, very supportive 5 stars definitely. Can do awesome dives, 2 shipwrecks, coral garden etc.
If you love luxury over character I don’t think this is a place for you.
Easy to do day trips and get a personal taxi driver. Food was good. Lots of fish and eggs! People extremely kind, helpful, accommodating. Not really a place to go clothes shopping.
Definitely would go there again.
Only negative thing, so much rubbish everywhere, on the beach, in the water, on the streets. Saw a washed up dead pig on the beach!!
this is the second time we have stayed here. love the location and the beautiful villa - we booked the same villa each time. Ian dives, so perfect for divers plus they have Bali Reef Divers on site. I can walk in the water and snorkel in front of the hotel or walk about 5 to 10 mins to the next bay = Lipay Bay where the turtles mostly stay. Good restos and warungs nearby. Walking distance to min mart/grocery store. love the Pool and the view is exceptional Sea on one side, jungle and mountains on the other - whats not to love
The Flower Room I stayes in was amazing;: romantic, clean, spacious decorated in Bali style. Nothing will ever beat the End of the day shower under the stars.
The restaurant is right on the beach and the Food was delicious. Staff was very friendly and kind.
I loved that the fishing boats were next to the hotel beach, it was nice to see the local fisherman’s daily life and hear their fishing stories.
For anyone who loves to snorkel, at the end of the beach is a Japanese second war shipwreck, an easy, off shore snorkelling.
It was the best accomodation in Bali for us so far. The staff was super nice, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was really good and we could choose from many options. They can also arrange a fish BBQ for you on the beach which is nice. We also borrowed the snorkeling equipment from the guest house. The location is also good - there are a lot of warugs and restaurants around (could be reached by walk) and nice beaches for snorkeling reachable via scooter. We would definitelly go there once again.
This was a wonderful, very Balinese yet modern hotel. The staff were professional, helpful and kind. David, the owner, was very accessible online. The snorkelling right at the hotel (no need to bring your own equipment) was so much fun. A whole “Finding Nemo” experience right there, a few metres offshore. And finally, the photos cannot do justice to the magnificence of the view of Mt. Agung, especially at sunset. Thanks David, Made and the Team.
Beautiful architecture, great location for snorkeling directly in front, comfy rooms, good on site restaurant. Sun beds and snorkeling equipment available for a small fee from vendors at the beach in front of the hotel. No Grab or Go Jek in Amed so better rent a scooter because transportation is more expensive then other places in Bali. A few nice restaurants walking distance from the hotel if you don’t want to go to Amed.
Small and cosy beach front hotel. Enjoyed swimming directly outfront of hotel. (Not great for snorkelling) but was super easy to arrange a boat and guide to take us snorkelling at 3 other locations. Spectacular view of Mount Agung and morning sunrise. Hotel restaurant offered an amazing variety of food, probably best menu i have seen in a Bali hotel. Every meal was delicious and reasonably priced.
We loved the location ! The villa is great with lots of space and the pool is amazing! This has been one of our favourite stays in Bali. We didn’t want to leave. Wayan our host and her team were wonderful, they really made our stay perfect. Awesome coffee shop called The Good stuff a short scooter away at the end of the street with the best coffee in Amed. Would definitely stay here again.
Absolutely my fav place in all of Bali. Home away from Home & family away from family, shout out to Wayan for being the happiest and joyful host you could ever imagine. the place is dreamy, breakfast was yummy, Wayan was the best, and really 15/10 would recommend. I will def be coming back here. Everything you could possibly need, want, dream for and more.
the location was not in the main amed beach. its very dark at night. The staff were "ok". The room was ok, but the bathroom was smelly. its like drain smell if you don't close the basin cover.
There is nothing to do there except for sleeping. There is nothing in the hotel restaurant except for breakfast.
Great and friendly staff, helped us with hiring a motorbike and with anything else we needed. Great spot next to other hotels and restaurants. Amed is quite quiet and perfect if you are looking for an escape from the busy Bali resort places. Great for snorkelling and swimming, relaxing and peaceful time.
Amed is beautiful and Oasis has a great location in the middle on the other street to the beach. The staff was exceptional! Friendly and helpful. Alone for them I would go back. The WiFi was the best I had in Bali! You can rent snorkels and scooter right there.
I really loved all the staff. Amed was my favorite stop in Bali, and the people are so warm and frie dly here. It was exactly what I hoped my trip would be. I also really appreciate all the wonderful staff working the dive center. Once again, top notch!
Villa Aldi is an exceptional place to stay. It is a comfortable oasis in Amed that exceeded our expectations in every way. The villas are very private surrounded by gardens each with their own private pool. One of the nicest places to stay in Bali.
best beachfront akomodatifnya in amed very quite clean best in amed room cleaan best spot view open window or room see beach best in amed. staff was amazing help full oragnize everything you can do in amed
Place is good. Good location. Meny ok, breakfast Bali standard I guess. Best place for snorkeling just outside your room.staff very helpful and good and no problem to change room.
Pool also good size
Had a fantastic stay at Barracuda Beach Hostel! The staff were very friendly and showed me some new Balinese food and drinks. The evenings were fun and we all sang songs together. Felt very welcomed!
Loved the ease of location, close to everything we needed, cafes and store so easily accessible and THE STAFF cannot compliment them enough, our week stay here was a highlight of our 3weeks in Bali
My favorite place in Bali, beach right at your door step. If you get the room #1 you even have a beach view from your room.
You can snorkell, eta, chill there. Don't even need to leave this place.
If you like the quiet, laid back atmosphere, the best snorkling and diving spots at Bali around the corner, great ocean view, friendly staff and outstanding food: this is your perfect hotel!
